Pyotr Platonov, MD, PhD, clinical electrophysiologist and  professor of Cardiology at the Department of Cardiology, Lund University, Sweden.

 AF research areas: Atrial anatomy and structural substrate of atrial fibrillation, genetics of atrial fibrillation, atrial fibrillation and stroke, ECG-based diagnostic tools development and validation, including atrial fibrillatory rate and P-wave morphology

Projects: CArdioversion of Short duration of Atrial Fibrillation (CASAF); Atrial Fibrillatory Rate In Catheter Ablation of atrial fibrillation (AFRICA): Atrial fibrillation during long-term follow-up after ischemic stroke; Atrial fibrillation in the context of the acute coronary syndrome.
