Professor of Cardiology at the Oslo University Hospital, Dept. of Cardiology B, and University of Oslo, as well as Head of Research at the Division of Medicine at the Oslo University Hospital. Dan Atar has a long-standing research interest in atrial fibrillation, and he co-authored the 2010, 2012 and 2016 ESC A-Fib guidelines. He is one of the 12 researchers in Norway who are listed on the 2017 “The highest Cited Researchers of the World” – list by Thomson-Reuters. He has published over 350 articles and has several ongoing research projects in A-Fib.
