Harald Kjekshus MD, PhD, Head of Pacemaker and ICD section, Department of Cardiology, Akershus University Hospital. Works clinically with AF patients with special focus on antiarrhythmic treatment and device technology.

Research areas: AF detection and prediction utilizing implantable cardiac rhythm monitors with focus on echocardiographic parameters, co-morbidities, ECG and rhythm disturbances, biomarkers and obstructive sleep apnea.

Projects: Co-supervisor of the PROACTIA project focusing on predictors of silent atrial fibrillation in patients with cryptogenic stroke.
