Johan Engdahl is associate professor in Cardiology and adjunct lecturer at Karolinska Institutet, Danderyds Hospital as well as senior consultant in cardiology, department of Cardiology, Danderyds University Hospital, Stockholm, Sweden.

AF Research areas: Atrial fibrillation detection and screening, stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation, long-term ECG recording modalities, natural course of atrial fibrillation.

Projects: Population screening for AF (Strokestop pilot, Strokestop 1, Strokestop 2). Studies on blood biomarkers and echo markers for AF prediction. Studies on ECG surrogate markers for AF like supraventricular activity and echo parameters.
