A study investigating the relation between symptoms and 1) various beat-to-beat irregularity parameters using novel mathematical models; 2) biomarkers reflecting myocardial stretch and remodelling; and 3) novel echocardiographic indices of atrial function during AF.

Three patient cohorts will be investigated; two from already completed clinical trials with extensive datasets available for this study, and one ongoing clinical study with data collection targeting these research questions.

The study is a post-doc project supported by a 4-year half time scholarship from the South-East Health Authority.
