Renate B. Schnabel

MD, MSc is professor in internal medicine – cardiology at the Department of General and Interventional Cardiology, University Heart Center Hamburg, Germany.

Interventional cardiologist and epidemiologist. She received her medical training from University Medicine Mainz, Department of Cardiology 2 and the Department of General and Interventional Cardiology, University Heart Center Hamburg, Germany. Completed a two-year postdoctoral research fellow-ship at the Framingham Heart Study (mentor: Emelia J. Benjamin, MD, ScM)

Research areas: Systems medicine of cardiovasclar diseases, epidemiology, intracoronary imaging and invasive functional testing.
