Sigrun HalvorsenSigrun Halvorsen, MD, PhD, is Head of the Department of Cardiology at Oslo University Hospital Ulleval and Professor in Cardiology at the University of Oslo, Oslo, Norway.

Research areas: Epidemiology, Antithrombotic treatment including combination therapy with antiplatelets and oral anticoagulants, treatment of acute coronary syndromes, biomarkers, electrocardiography, randomized clinical trials.

Projects: Antithrombotic therapy in patients with atrial fibrillation treated with PCI (AUGUSTUS); Efficacy and safety of oral anticoagulants in patients with atrial fibrillation based on nationwide registry data; Non-vitamin K oral anticoagulants: use and prescription patterns in Norway 2015-18; Risk factors, treatment and survival in acute myocardial infarction in Norway; Observational study on patients with atrial fibrillation receiving reduced doses of oral anticoagulants (REATTAIN)
