The Troponins in Atrial Fibrillation (TROPAF) is a PhD project investigating levels of high sensitivity troponin I in atrial fibrillation in different clinical settings:
- The impact of atrial fibrillation on levels of high sensitivity troponin I in a cohort of 75-year old subject from the general population
- The predictive value of high sensitivity troponin I for rhythm outcome after electrical cardioversion, en the impact of sinus rhythm restoration on levels of high sensitivity troponin I
- The impact of rate control treatment on levels of high sensitivity troponin I
- The relation between levels of high sensitivity troponin I and indices of inflammation, endothelial function and coagulation
The TROPAF study is a collaboration study between Bærum Hospital and Center for Clinical Heart Research.
