December 15th, 2016, the South-East Health Authority in Norway announced that they will provide funding of the Norwegian Atrial Fibrillation Research Network – afib.no – for 3 years.

This will allow us to establish the basic infrastructure of the network and organize research meetings and educational seminars. The network will facilitate research collaboration between the network members, for instance in multi-center research projects. The network will also support national as well as international research exchange.

The network is running two websites:

1. the researcher-oriented website www.afib.no (in English) will be expanded and updated regularly with information on network members, event activities, projects, and publications, and
2. the patient-oriented website, www.atrieflimmer.no (in Norwegian) providing up-to-date information on different atrial fibrillation topics, including information about ongoing studies and results from studies within the network. The network members will provide articles and other content for both websites.
