In an article published in Nature Genetics, network members Ingrid E. Christophersen, Michiel Rienstra, Emelia J. Benjamin and Patrick T. Ellinor and collaborators present data from large-scale genome-wide association studies, exome-wide association studies and rare variant association studies.
Twelve new loci associated with atrial fibrillation were identified, nearly doubling the number of known genetic loci for atrial fibrillation. Their findings may provide new insights into the molecular basis of atrial fibrillation. Read more in Nature Genetics.
